I bought a costume that is supposed to be fitted in the body - no excess fabric pooling around the torso - so I found a size that according to the chart should have fit perfectly. Shipping time was awesome - way faster than expected - but when I got the dress and tried it on there was a good 6 inches of extra *unstretched* fabric around the entirity of the torso. I returned this for two sizes down (which should have been way too small for me) and it fit perfectly without stretching. I am from Canada and on the site it says that returns are simple and fast with shipping paid for by buycostumes.com. Apparently this isn't applicable to international customers but the site does not make this obvious anywhere. I ended up spending 25$ on shipping back the too large costume which was about half the value of the costume itself. This was rather annoying since I was expecting buycostumes.com to hold up their end like it states on the site.

This is the fourth costume I have ordered from buycostumes.com. I am pleased with my experiences particularly because of the selection of large sizes. Although I mostly order at Halloween, this time I ordered for a Murder Mystery dinner in which I was to come as a character. People always ask where I got my costume. This time I won a prize for the best one!

All items I ordered were exactly as described/shown on www.buycostumes.com. Extremely high quality of material and stitching used for costumes. My order was delivered on schedule. I am very happy with my purchase and quality of items.

one costume was good, another was ok and the last one was really so cheap that it has to be returned. I understand the prices are reasonable for retail shopping but that means the quality of the workmanship (sewing,etc)is kind of cheap and uneven. but often the costumes are fine and occasional very good.

I like the website but i didnt see the drop down box to get it in one day. I will re-order again in the future when needed. I returned the wig.
I am ver excited about the website. needs more old school items. I will be ordering again soon.

I have some problem with mask. My eyes are not in front of holes.

I was very happy with my purchase. It was so exciting opening the big box! The costumes look fantastic. Being from Australia the sizes were not what I anticipated. US med/lge is Aus 10/12. Thus being a bit on the small side. The sleeves on all long sleeved dresses were miles to long and we needed to have them taken up. The confetti was the only thing purchased that did not match the image displayed . It was supposed to be coloured peace signs and we got red smiley faces and yellow flowers. My only disapointment was the cost of freight to Australia. My freight cost was 1/3 of my overall total. I would have rather spent that on more fab costumes! Overall another fantastic experience from Buy Costumes.com. Keep up the great work guys!
I filled out the survey even though I live in Australia and are not eligible for the daily prize. I think the offer should be available to all who use your site and customers not in the USA can get store credit. You have all our account details anyway. It would be a nice touch, and would encourage customers to use the site and usuakky you would spend more than the daily proze anyway. It's a win win situation. I feel the shipping charges to Australia are a bit steep.It equated to 1/3 of total cost.I also wanted to purchase a tye-dyed hippie male T/shirt or similar, but you don't carry any, I was gob smacked! as these would be so popular. It is hot in Aust. and the long sleeve hippie shirts are not appropriate. Overall, I love this site and have always been happy with my experiences.Keep up the good work.
