All was a good experience. The only comment I could offer is that I was a little disappointed that the item was not available in the nearest store because I needed it fairly quickly; however, I understand that not all online items can be stocked in a store.Happy customer.

I appreciate the 20% off coupons good for all items offered. It triggers me to buy from REI as compared to our local (new) Cabelas store or Campmor catalog when I'm thinking of getting something. Free shipping is nice too - all the roadblocks are gone, leaving you the go-to outfitter!

I love REI for their expertise, ability to return anything anytime for any reason. Sure, I could save a few buck elsewhere, but when it comes to things like trekking poles, it might be six months before you realize something is wrong or you yourself need a different type of pole. With REI, its no questions asked, they will make sure you have the equipment that is right for you. Plus, as an REI Member, you get a dividend. I see it in line with a cash birthday gift from grandma when you were a kid, go into the REI store and get something that you would otherwise not normally buy yourself.

This is the outdoor place to shop since I first signed up in Seattle in 1987! I love the whole idea of membership and dividends, keeps me coming back year after year. Have never had a problem with returns, either.

I didn't return an item, I exchanged the hat for a smaller one - and, as it turned out, we were in the REI store and my husband chose a slightly different style. Exchange went very smoothly. Entire purchase and receipt of merchandise went very well. Thanks.
Really like your checkout - no hassle about an account - I can order as a guest. But printing out the bill is longer than it needs to be. In two pages I printed out all I would have wanted in one page. Anything after "Your order number" is wasted information. I already have all the information I need - what the order is, how much it will cost, (could add AmEx to Order Total. A waste of one sheet of paper.

Three items were to small and I will return and get replacement items because I am very pleased with the quality and workmanship in the clothing. The other items I ordered I am very pleased with and had to show them off to my daughter.
