Description
The JVC RX-8040 combines premium 6.1-channel surround sound with high-current 130 watt per channel performance. This receiver also incorporates new convienience features such as Virtual Surround Back that allows you to playback 6.1 channels without adding a surround back speaker. The DSP processor enables the RX-8040 to provide the highest level of accuracy in decoding Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, dts, dts-ES (Discrete 6.1/ Matrix 6.1), dts NEO:6, dts 96/24, and Dolby Pro Logic II decoders built-in for theater quality surround from digital sources. It also makes possible all-channel stereo, and the JVC exclusive DAP (Digital Acoustics Processor) soundfield with seven multi-channel preset sound fields and eight two-channel presets. JVC's AV Compu Link provides simple one touch operation between your JVC audio and video components. With AV Compu Link you can pop a pre-recorded VHS tape into the VCR or DVD into the DVD player and it will automatically power up your receiver and your television and then turn them each to the proper inputs. A full complement of AV inputs/outputs (including component and S-Video, seven digital inputs, and a digital output) makes it easy to connect all of your digital and analog components. The digital AM/FM tuner allows for up to 15 AM and 30 FM presets so you can quickly find your favorite stations. And for those times when you can't use your surround speakers or just want a little privacy, there's a headphone jack available on the front panel. What's in the Box
