5 of 5 stars  Lots of music for a low price

If you can get this CD for under $10.00 used as I did, you are certainly getting a bargain. Some of these songs do tend to pop up over and over again on other compilations, but this is a good variety of 80's music with pop, rock, new-wave, and r&b. My main reason for buying the CD was Randy Meisner's "Deep Inside My Heart" , which was his first solo hit that went to #22 in 1980 and features Kim Carnes on backing vocals. If you are a Kim Carnes fan , this is a good place to get this rare track that is practically a duet between the two of them on the chorus. I have Randy's 2nd Top 40 hit, "Hearts on Fire" on another compilation, now if only someone would put his 3rd and final hit, "Never Been in Love" on a compilation, my Randy Meisner collection would be complete.

But, anyway, back to this CD. It is great. It contains all original versions by the original artists. Only one complaint is that the version of "The Flame" by Cheap Trick included here seems a little different than the radio version I remember and must be an album version. However, the difference is only slight and should not deter anyone from buying this CD. The liner notes are not much to brag about, but hey, as I said, if you can find it cheap used, go for it. .25 to .50 cents per track is cheaper than buying the tracks from Napster.
