The remixes are pretty good, enjoyable. Some of them are rather long one of them in 9 min!!! But I really enjoyed the remix with Lil Bow Wow, even though he didn't sing at all, all he said was "Hand clap."
This is Jessica Simpson's remix album. Many fans wanted a remix album, and Columbia records gave us what we wanted-a PURE remix album!! Everyone knows remixes not usually the same amount of the song. With a remix, about 55% of the time a remix of a song is longer than the original/radio versions. This album is about an hour long-closer to 54 minutes. There are 7 songs, that make you just wanna partaay!!
Track #1 is the Soul Solution radio edit of Jessica 6-week in a row #1 smash "I Wanna Love You Forever". It is around the same lenght as the orginial version. Track #5 is the So Soo Def remix of Jessica's #2 hit which was #24 in 2001's most popular songs/videos billboard countdown-"Irresistible". It is around 19 seconds longer than the original one. The rest of the tracks are longer versions, between 7.5-9.5 minutes. Tracks #2 is a little longer than 9 minutes, and is a longer Soul Solution remix of "I Wanna Love You Forever". Jessica re-recorded some part (probably) and in the beginning she hits a high note for a LONG, LONG time! The same goes for tracks #3 and #4, which are remixes of "I Think I'm In Love With You"-the song that hit #3 and established Jessica Simpson as a huge, smash singer!! The video did EXCELLENT on MTV, just like all her videos did!!. Except, tracks #3 & #4 aren't Soul Solution Remixes. Track #6 is a club version of "Irresistible". It's a little longer than 6.5 minutes. Track #7 is a remix of Jessica's single "A Little Bit". Although it didn't do as well as all of Jessica's other singles, it stayed in the Top 40 for over a month and a half!!
This is a very good remix album & is super-amazing. I encourage you to buy. It is phenomical!! Please, take my advise.
Also, look for Jessica's DVD "Dream Chaser", her albums "Sweet Kisses", "Irresistible", and "In This Skin". Her book "I Do:Achieving Your Wedding Dream" is also in stores. Not to forget, pick up Jessica's perfume "Desert"!! WATCH HER SHOW NEWLYWEDS & BUY PIZZA HUT, she is the spokesperson for that, Bally Total Fitness, and Redken!!
OTHER INFORMATION: I am so proud of Jessica!! Her true album, "In This Skin", which she wrote most of, hasn't even been out for over 9 months, and has ALREADY sold over 2 million copies!! Jessica's show "Newlyweds" is #2 out of all television shows for ratings on cable, and her and her sister (Ashlee) are the new spokepersons for Pizza Hut buffalo wings & Jessica promotes the "4 for all" pizza with the muppets. Request Ashlee Simpson's brand new single everywhere, and buy her album & watch her reality T.V. show when it comes out!!

I don't consider myself a fan, or even a casual admirer, of Jessica Simpson. While she's clearly a decent singer with some potential, her music, often written by outsiders, has a wonder-bread blandness that has kept me from buying any of her studio albums. Her remixes, on the other hand, are a different story, as evidenced on this 7 track maxi single. "This is the Remix" is a collection of mostly hard-to-find tracks that are either unavailable commercially or appear only on vinyl. Some complain that it has only 7 tracks, but so what? Quantity isn't always quality. What DOES appear is, for the most part, pretty good. But I do not care for the Jermaine Dupri hip hop remix of "Irresistible" with Lil Bow Wow. It strikes me as both juvenile and predictable. Hex Hector's 8-plus-minute disco remix, however, works way better and is the surely one of the best tracks here. Soul Solution speed up the tempo of the ballad "I Wanna Love You Forever" and turn it into a decent club jam, and Chris "The Greek" & Guido's reworking of "A Little Bit" also stands out. When I first heard the original version of "I Think I'm In Love," I cringed at the sample of John Cougar's "Jack and Diane." It's got to be one of the worst songs I've heard in recent years. But DJ Peter Rauhofer comes to save the say with his club remix that literally transforms it from a dull and irritating single to a bonafide club anthem. There are obviously better remix albums out there, but I did find Jessica Simpson's "This is the Remix" a pleasant surprise. It hasn't converted me into a fan, but mainstream dance music lovers should give this a listen.

Though many were surprised by the number of songs and the length of some of them, but this is indide a terrific dance album! If you are planning a birhtday party or some kind of dance party soon, put this CD into your CD player immediately! You will have an excellent time dancing and be so happy cause all remixes are great! There is not one flaw in this album!

Jessica Simpson has been a favourite of mine for a long time. I love "Sweet Kisses" and "Irresistible" and eagerly look forward to "In This Skin", so when i heard she was releasing a remix album, you can imagine how excited i was. After the success that was Destiny's Child "This Is The Remix" i colud hardly wait. So you an imagine my dissapointment when i discoverd it had 7 tracks. Not only had she left out a remix of her hit single "Where You Are" with Nick Lachey, but she had put two remixes of "I Wanna Love You Forever" that are the same. Not to mention that the "Irresitible(Hex Hector CLub Mix)" is much better on the "Irresistible" single. There are too few tracks,the tracks are too long and very similar.
However this does have a good side. The remixes of "Iwanna Love You Forever", "A Little Bit" and "Irresistible" are pretty cool.
All an aall it comes to down to "Are you a fan or not?" If you love Jessicxa like me, this "album" is for you. If You're not, strear clear!
Stand out tracks: "Irresistible(So So Def Remix)"; "I Wanna Love You Forever(Soul Solution Club Mix)" and "A Little Bit(Chris "The Greek" & Guido Club Mix)"
An ok buy, but so far: Jessica's worst!
