1 of 5 stars  Too Compact
Thursday, March 03, 2005
This seat was bought to replace a Graco Comfort Sport. It was quickly returned once we sat our child in it. It was so narrow. She was scrunched in it. The buckle between the childs legs does not have a slot to move it out far enough, so basically she was sitting on the buckle piece. And when she sat in it you sit deep in the seat but the seat is elevated where the knees are. That had to somewhat be cutting off circulation. I couldn't imagine keeping her in that position for a two hour car ride. Cosco's line of booster seats are much more roomy. Everything other item of baby gear I own has been Graco (which I love) but this seat is just plain horrible. However, since it is so narrow it would be perfect for someone who has to put seats right next to each other...

1 of 5 stars  Don't buy this if you have a Ford Explorer!!!
Wednesday, March 02, 2005
I purchased this booster seat a few months ago and have been very displeased. First, it is all but imposible to secure the booster seat in the rear of my husbands Explorer. The seat will tilt to one side even if the seat has been kneeled in by my 270 pound husband. We also noticed that our daughter was constantly putting her blankie or dollie to the side of the seat. After investigating we found that the side pleather pannels were hot as fire. This was the straw that broke the camels back for us. Not only was it unsafe to install but now the fabric was unsafe. We imediatly took it back to the store we purchased it from and have since bought a Brittax Parkway (100 times better and worth every extra penny we paid.). the Parkway offers better support. If you own this booster seat PLEASE be careful and check the pleather sides when its hot outside to avoid injury to your little one.

4 of 5 stars  long distant driver
Thursday, February 24, 2005
I purchased this car seat due to the reviews and the EPS foam. I drive about an hour to get to work and home so about 2 hours of travel time. It was importnatnt to me that my 2 year old son be comfortable and due to the long drive, I wanted to be assured that he was. I love love love the foaming in the car seat. I have looked around and am amazed at how little padding some car seats actually have. The few things i was not impressed with was the narrowness of the seat, my son is pretty big for his age, and also the smallness of the seatbelt attachments. They seemed kind of small to manipulate. I also have problems locating the bottom seat belt attachment, my son is always sitting on it. It seems that it should actually be more upfront on the seat. But the seat is comfortable and 2 weeks in, i am pretty happy with the purchase. My fear is that there is now way that this car seat will last until the suggested age of 10 due to his size. So i am aware that i will need to purchase another buster in a matter of time.

2 of 5 stars  Poor quality

I have always been pleased with Graco products, but this car seat is terrible! We bought it two weeks ago and already:

-the straps twist VERY easily
-the straps are uneven (one side is much looser than the other)
-the adjustment panel popped off and now the button won't work

My three-year-old loves the seat and says it is comfortable (despite how it seems too narrow for him and he is small) and I love the cupholder and mesh bag attachments...

BUT it's going back to the store ASAP!!

5 of 5 stars  Excellent Seat!

I bought this seat for my then 3YO son. I love it - he loves it. He's now 5 and still using the seat with the 5 point harness (he's about 38 pounds). I will purchase another one for my 2YO daughter when she's outgrows her convertible car seat (which will be soon).

Yes the seat is narrow but we don't have a problem with that. My suggestion to anyone is go look at the seat and try it before you buy it to be sure it's going to fit your child. It has wonderful padding - super easy to install - and we've NEVER had a problem with the belts twisting or issues with tightening the straps (and our seat is installed VERY tightly - I was trained by the CHP - California Highway Patrol to install our seats). Total breeze! My son gets in and out of the seat by himself so you know it's not difficult to use.

The cup holder and "snack bag" on the sides are a huge plus. My son loves his seat and there's plenty of side room if he falls asleep that his head doesn't hang forward and flop around.

Two BIG thumbs up!!

Janet
