Very innovative reggae/emceeing from this UK product.
I love the way the beats were done, very original and creative. They match Manuvas' awkward offbeat flows to a tee, and it's really catchy because you can't predict what's coming next. He delivers his lyrics with conviction and passion. The opening cut 'Man Fi Cool' is quite fresh, and the Dreamy Days and Witness dubs are tight. 'Dub Came Save Me' is a teaser because there is so much potential I feel is still untapped. I hope to hear more from Roots Manuva in the future.

Better than Run Come Save MeMonday, September 16, 2002
I'm a huge fan of Brand New Second Hand, and although I enjoyed Run Come Save Me I was a little dissapointed with it. It was great to hear Roots Manuva expand his musical horizons, and he came up with some great songs. But as an album, I thought it was unfocused and at times boring. I picked up this remix version of Run Come Save Me cautiously, but as soon as I put it in my stereo it blew me off my feet. Original and creative, it took me back to the simple yet powerfull statements of Roots' first album, while at the same time exploring new and exciting ground. An incredible album, one that makes it clear Roots Manuva is one of the most incredible and original talents today.
Unexpected release...Monday, July 29, 2002
After "Run Come Save Me" and it's creativity, popularity, and critical success, I figured Smith for the kind of guy who would let it all go to his head and try to prove himself with another groundbreaking hiphop album. Instead, he has taken his skills on the mic and the mixer and had some genuine fun creating traditional dub cuts. I'd almost like to remove all the full-verse rap from this album and have a pure dub CD to listen to, but the alternating vocal tracks & instrumental tracks work very well...
If you like dub...Thursday, July 25, 2002
A fantastic "remix" album (some new material..even Chali 2na contributes some new lyrics), Roots Manuva has really embraced the dub tradition on this release...something he has been hinting at on his previous two. He lets the album run the gamut from old school Perry-styled hard beats to more contemporary Mad Professor's chaotic rhythms. Some of the tracks are reminiscent of his hip-hop stylings on the "original" "Run Come Save Me" while others are reworked tunes in the classic dub styling.
A worthy addition to any dub fan's collection and a must-have for any Roots Manuva fan.
