True, there is nothing new to CD and perhaps the songs chosen would not be your choice, a matter which Geoff Milne covers in his notes thus, 'How is it possible to select just fifty? Well, go ahead and try it, then argue amongst yourselves about whose selection is any better than the others - there really isn't an answer except to say that almost anything Bing sang was good and worthy of inclusion.' The year these songs became top sellers precedes the song title on the CD listings. The compilation is not in chronological order as the songs are arranged to give a well balanced programme. The reproduction quality is excellent, the booklet notes are informative and interesting. Playing time is over two and a half hours.
