DisappointedWednesday, May 11, 2005
I bought this CD the day it was released and was terribly disappointed. I love Mr. Bocelli's "Sogno" CD but this was nothing what I expected. I am sure he will do better next time.

A more personal AndreaThursday, March 24, 2005
It is no coincidence that this album bears Andrea's own name. It is a more personal venture than his other CD's, in that he lets more of himself show through in the material and delivery. For example, there is irony and passion in Sempre o Mai, lightheartedness in the lovely Semplicimente (available on a foreign edition of this CD -- not to be missed -- find it wherever you can). There is great elegance and a quiet assurance in the simple song, Per Noi. Andrea is not afraid to go back to his pop roots in songs like Un Nuovo Giorno, reminding us that he is still capable of delivering a true pop performance right alongside a gorgeous semi-operatic song like In-Canto that hints of his greatness in opera.
It is this variety and the personal touch that made me grow to love this CD. The only reason why it is not getting 5 stars has to do with the production, not Andrea's incredible vocal performance or the song selections. But I am grading on a curve, here -- a 4-star Bocelli CD is still a treasure that you will listen to over and over and over......

DeliciosoThursday, March 24, 2005
It is wonderful that Andrea has another recording out for us fans to savor. While it is not as awesomely spectacular as some of his other albums, any song from Andrea brings joy to all who listen. I immediately had to go on the internet to see who the girl was singing with him in "Go Where Love Goes." So charming. And "When a Child Is Born" made me want to cry with its simple beauty. Bravo, Andrea! More CD's, per favore!!!!

Andrea has out done himself again!!!Friday, March 04, 2005
2 thumbs up, or should I say a big high 5. Once again, Andrea, despite his blindness has done it again. He has totally grown and developed as an artist, listening to his music and his voice makes me feel so proud that he is a legend! One of the best singers in the world who has maintained great pitch control. The cd "Andrea" is very awe-inspiring, very harmonius and serene, and touches the soul deeply.

Audio mixing TERRIBLE on this CD! Save your money.Monday, January 31, 2005
Bocelli is in good voice, however the mixing of his voice with the accompaniment is just awful; his voice sounds like he's way in the 'background' while the latter (recorded at different locations) sounds overly loud in the 'foreground.'
Poor Andrea, he deserves better than he's gotten here and, as fans of his, so do we.
