Perfect iPod travel speakersTuesday, May 03, 2005
I previously purchased some portable speakers for my iPod from RadioShack but returned them a day later because the sound quality was horrendous and there was very little volume. I decided to give it another try and purchased these little wonders from Logic3. They're fantastic! The volume can be turned up high enough to fill a room with very little distortion and their size is perfect for traveling.
Here are some things to keep in mind if you are planning to purchase these speakers:
1. No portable speakers can give you the kind of sound range and quality you can get from a high quality stereo system, but these come as close as can be expected from portable speakers. The tiny price is a bonus!
2. The ac adaptor is pretty big. It's a great to use at home to charge your iPod while listening to tunes, but it's too big to be travel-friendy. My plan is to fully charge my iPod before trips and bring some extra AA batteries for the Logic3.
3. Be careful of the speakers...they are not protected in any way by the case unless you put the plastic cover on.
4. When you put your iPod in the dock, you have to push harder than you would think for it to snap into place. Just be careful to have the correct adaptor on the Logic3 for your type of iPod and make sure it is lined up properly before trying to put it into the dock.

Good sound, OK valueTuesday, April 05, 2005
In my search for a nice travel speaker system for my laptop and preferably Ipod compatible (as far as charging and syncing), I took the I-station for a test-drive and compared it to a friend's Altec Lansing InMotion system.
I thought the sound quality from the I-station system was good - especially for the size. The InMotion system did sound quite a bit better - much more presence and nearly matching the bass response even without the "subwoofer".
I was dissappointed in the fold-up design with the separate plastic cover.
Overall, given the choice between this at $80 and the InMotion at its original price of $150, I would choose this. But now I see the InMotion for $110. I think that it is definately worth the $30 for the InMotion's better sound and slick fully protected fold-up design. However, I'm still looking at other systems.

For the Price and the Purpose ... An Outstanding Product.Monday, March 28, 2005
Keyword --> Portable.
4 x AA Batteries and this Speaker Dock Station goes anywhere while providing reasonable sound quality for the size.
It isn't going to fill a concert hall with sound, but it will do a fine job in an office cube, a hotel room, the kitchen, or the backyard deck.
The only negative is that I wish the Dock Station Power button also turned the iPod On or Off.
Speakers ... Support cables ... and iPod Recharger for $80 bucks. This thing is a steal.

A Great Value!Friday, March 25, 2005
I was quite excited when I recieved this product in the mail. I set it up in three minutes, plugged it into the outlet, and place my ipod into the dock. Once it started to play I was blown away, the treble was clear and the subwoofer in the back was performing outstandingly! One complaint, the 3D button improves the overall sound, but distorts the sound quality at a higher volume. Before this I had bought some cheap sony speakers. They were a load of techno junk compared to these better quality speakers. What I thought was the coolest features about these speakers is that they can recharge the ipod while connected to the outlet, yet won't charge it while they are running on batteries. Plus, they fold down into a small compact rectangle, about the size of a small hardcover book. I would recomend using rechargeable batteries to power this puppy, just for enviromental reasons. However, some people may not like sound quality, but I believe it is the perfect gift for anyone who wants to listen to music without having to be teathered by wires. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent FeaturesThursday, March 24, 2005
These speakers are excellent for the price. I test drove several models. The JBL onstage probably being the best for sound quality. However, this model sounds very good; is easily portable; and the price is definitely much more in line than other similar products. A definite plus that these speakers can use 4 AA batteries or AC charger. Additionally, to save that limited Ipod battery, your Ipod will continue to charge while in the port and playing. Highly recommended.
