5 of 5 stars  excellent

Josh was absolute perfection during this concert. I didn't care for the guest performers much. While it is undeniable that they are all very talented, they simply cannot shine in Josh's shadow. He's too good. Of the two live DVDs he's released, this is by far the better selection. Both are worth having, if you are a die-hard Groban fan, but if you had to choose, this is the best one. His voice is clear and beautiful. Enjoy it!

5 of 5 stars  A Feast for the Eyes and Ears
Thursday, January 20, 2005
I just wrote an "average" review for Josh Groban's latest concert "Live at the Greek," because I felt it deserved that rating. But I'm happily rating Groban's first concert worthy of 5 stars! Groban is really in his element in an enclosed theatre and full control over his beautiful voice. The visuals are a feast for the eyes too with backgrounds so well suited for the music selections. Every guest from the Coors to Angie Stone just fits so well with Groban. Inspired creativity shows in "Let me Fall," the last song on this DVD. This concert was perfection. If you haven't bought one from Josh Groban, I suggest this one (but pass on "Live at the Greek).

5 of 5 stars  Stunning Performance by Josh Groban!
Sunday, January 16, 2005
If you haven't heard Josh Groban's first concert you're in for a wonderful treat. This concert DVD + CD set is stunning in visual and sound quality. More importantly Josh Groban's voice is perfect in all the songs he performs, from the beautiful and powerful "Alejate," to the artistic "Let me Fall." It's quite rare to have a "live" concert sound so impeccable on CD but this one is. If you haven't yet tried this concert set, I recommend that you give it a listen at your music store (Barnes and Noble too). I didn't think "Live at the Greek" a worthy second concert, but this one is certainly perfection. If you check my review of the "Greek" you can tell I'm a tough reviewer.

5 of 5 stars  Like Night and Day

I remember the first time I watched this concert on my PBS station. Surprised, delighted, transported. Josh Groban was at his best and I felt it was the best PBS concert of a young performer that I've ever seen. When I got the DVD and CD home, this quality was perfection. It was hard to believe that this was recorded live because the sound was so clear. My favorite, "Alejate," was beautiful. I just entered my review for Josh Groban's second live concert, "Live at the Greek," and it was very less than enthusiastic. If you've never seen Groban perform a full concert with perfect control over his gorgeous voice, I recommend that you get this set.

5 of 5 stars  Unbelievably Awesome
Monday, November 22, 2004
Notice to All Recording Artists Throughout the World: Now that Josh Groban has performed the most glorious rendition of O Holy Night that ever has been, or ever will be, you can ALL stop singing it now. Nothing will ever top this version; it has to be heard to be believed. This young man is so blessed with his voice; it is beyond beautiful. When you finally have this CD in your hands, take my advice and go directly to track 8, and let the rest simply follow. Entirely awesome!
