A classic timepiece. Previous complaints are without merit.Saturday, December 18, 2004
Timex has traditionally made well built and durable watches. Dropping it 4 feet onto a hard surface can damage it, obviously. The back of any snap back watch is difficult to put back on because it requires even pressure. A pair of pliers will never work and will always ruin the watch.
The 30M water resistancy also tightens the case overall, a tightness which can make it more difficult to replace the cover. However, this applies to ANY watch brand, not just Timex.

good looking, easy to read watchSaturday, March 20, 2004
This is a good looking, easy to read watch. The numbers are big and easy to see. When you press the side button, the Indiglo light illuminates the entire watch face, making the watch easy to read at night.
While I haven't had the same problems as the other reviewers, considering their reviews, I would recommend taking the watch to a jewelry store to have the battery replaced.

Back Cover ProblemFriday, March 12, 2004
I had the same problem as the previous reviewer. I removed the back cover of this watch to replace the battery and have been unable to replace the cover. Have tried just about everything and cover will not go back on.

Not very sturdySaturday, December 06, 2003
Although I really loved the clean appearance of the watch, I probably wouldn't buy it again. It fell out of my locker (not really very high either - maybe 4.5 feet off the ground), and the back popped off. Since then I haven't been able to put the back cover on! I've tried using a clamp, pliers, pressing on it really hard, and I even took it to a watch shop and even they couldn't close it. It's been a real hassle....but maybe it was just the watch that I got.
