Broken Speed DialTuesday, January 04, 2005
I also had the variable speed dial break on maybe the third or fourth time using. The inside cracks easily and then won't stay on the shift that's inside.

My husband, Frank, wanted a more powerful blender. He is the resident Chef. He makes great pancakes, as well as yummy smoothies, using fresh fruit from the local Farmer's Market. This addition to our countertop appliances adds form and function. It's powerful, (600 watt) motor, with 14 speeds it is efficient, attractive, and, easy to use and clean. It is a great value. A bit noisy at the high speeds, but, we are very pleased, as usual, with this MG unit!!

We were excited to get this blender since it had several great reviews at the time we purchased it. We brought it home and fired it up only to have the variable speed dial break with no way to turn it off w/o unplugging it. The next day we thought we would try to fix the dial, but with no luck. This time the blender wouldn't even turn on. Target gave us our money back-no questions asked. Do not buy this blender. Spend the money and get something better.

I got mine as a house warming gift when i moved into my first new place in November and i love it. It handles ice better than any othe blenders i've ever used. I never even find any chunks of ice in the bottom when im done. I'm looking forward to adding other MG products to my gift registry fot my wedding next year!
