Lemon...Tuesday, May 10, 2005
Sadly it seems I got a lemon - and from the reviews I've read, this is not at all unusual with this mouse!
The media buttons work well, although they're not ideally placed. I really like the general ergonomics, but I have fairly large hands, like palm a basketball large.
On the down side, clicking my scroll wheel had no effect. Zoom didn't work, assigning another task didn't work, which means I can't send it to universal scroll and tab browse in firefox unless I want to adulterate my media functions. I'm returning it - and debating whether or not to get another since it seems like 25% of the reviews report problems.
A second razer diamondback might be the better option - and definitely has a better probability of reaching me in working condition...

The buttons of the mouse are really awkward. You have to push hard. Your fingers will suffer fatigue quickly...
Mouse Gone Wild!!!Tuesday, May 03, 2005
I bought the mouse after a great rebate brought the price down to under $20 bucks. I've had it for 2 weeks and have been somewhat satisfied so far. The ergonomics as mentioned in the other reviews arent that comfortable as a Microsoft mouse. The mouse is indeed to thin as I find that my ring finger often rests on the table and not the mouse. This is something that I dont mind for the price I paid for a cordless mouse.
However, for the past 2 days the mouse has been acting up. It will go act as if the - volume button is stuck and keep on reducing the volume. And sometimes by pressing the + volume button, it will act as pause. This is in addition to the cursor not going where it should too (Kinda acts like a drunk driver). I don't know if this has happened to anyone before, but I am pretty sure its the mouse as I've been using the same computer for 4 years no problems. If anyone else gets this problem, please let other know as normally Logitech is a very reliable company. .

Good Mouse, Great Shape, Nice Features BUTFriday, April 22, 2005
As many other have said, this mouse is awesome especially when it comes to the extra features such as Back/Forward, horizontal scrolling, forward/backward (song, clip), volume control.
However, like many other cordless mouse, this is is heavy and thus decreases its ergonomic. Not a good thing to use for an extensive amount of time (such as at work or playing games all day).
The zoom function while might appears to be good for some users is especially not good for me since I play games and use Firefox, the scroll button (when you click the scroll wheel) was captured by SetPoint and I have not found out a way to release it to the applications. So I have to live with not using the wheel button for many shortcuts. I would appreciate it if the wheel mouse button can be released in the settings of setpoint.
CHANGED: I have found out how to do it. I set it to generic button and voila everything falls into place. This is awesome. Can't change my stars to 5/5 though.
Overall I would recommend this mouse to average user. But beware, it would strain your wrist with its weight.

Fascinating mouse!Wednesday, April 20, 2005
I LOVE THIS MOUSE! I just installed the software and set the media button to play my favorite media player, and it works perfectly. I can play, stop, volume up/down, fast forward/back, it is absolutely amazing. It is small and wireless as well, and not too bulky/heavy like other mice that I've used before. I think it is one of the best wireless mice out there. Highly recommended for any music/movie fan!
I installed logitech's latest software from their website, that works the best, instead of installing the software that came with CD.
