I purchased a set of about 9 Playtex Ventaire bottles when my son was born. The bottles work o.k...a little pricey. They can leak if you don't properly seal the bottoms, making sure that the vent is tucked into the bottm all the way around. They are a hassle to clean...with all the small parts you have to take apart everytime you use them. But, I was fairly pleased using them until I went back to get stage 2 nipples and no stores carry them anymore, because Playtex redesigned these bottles with the new "natural" dome-shaped nipples. I can't get them even at Wal-Mart, K-Mart or Babies R Us. You have to go to a web-site and buy the supplies and pay more for shipping than for the products themselves. I called Playtex on several occasions and spoke to supervisors, managers, marketing and a half a dozen other people and they were EXTREMELY un-helpful. It is my feeling that they stopped stocking the supplies for the original bottles, to try to get you to buy the new ones. If you still decide to buy these bottles....buy enough supplies (nipples, vents) to last you until your child grows out of using a bottle, or you may find youself stuck with expensive bottles you can no longer use.

For my sisters baby shower she got about 20 of these bottles for her little boy. I don't now what she would do without them. Austin will not take any other kind of bottle. These bottles are great because the baby dosn't have to stop eating to let air into the bottle because of the vent and less bubbles get to the baby's tummy because the air doesn't mix with the formula.

I started my son on the Playtex disposable nursers, and then switched to the Ventairs, because it got a little expensive buying the liners all the time. The ventairs worked well, and my son liked them, however you have to keep replacing the bottles, because over time mildew starts collecting in the holes on the disks. I went back to the Playtex disposable nursers, he does just fine with those too. Overall, the ventairs are a good bottle, but you have to keep a close eye on the disks........

My first child is 11 and I was a stay at home mom with her, so she never had a bottle, she was 100% breast. Now 11 years later we have another bundle of joy but our lifestyle has changed and I have to work. I am not the pumping type of girl, so I have tried every single type of bottle on the market and I absolutely love the VentAire bottle. This is the perfect bottle for my baby. He gets very little air and is never fussy after his feedings, as long as he drinks from the VentAire. My mom was feeding him once and actually thought the nipple was too small and that he wasn't getting any formula. I told her that this bottle didn't bubble up like the rest while the baby is drinking because of it's design. It's the best bottle on the market.

I really like this bottle. Yes, it is a little more work than most bottles but if you make sure that the bottom pieces are completely dry before putting them together, you will be just fine. I have been using it for 6 weeks and I have only had it leak one time and that's because it wasn't competely dry. Works good to get the air out. I also like the way you can really clean each piece. I would defintely recommend this bottle.
