HORRID, HORRID THINGMonday, May 09, 2005
IT'S GOOD TO SEE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HATED THIS TUB FOR EXACTLY THE SAME REASONS. IT REALLY SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET AS A SAFETY HAZARD TO CHILDREN. YES IT WORKS ALL RIGHT FOR THE INFANT STAGE BUT AS SOON AS MY SON WAS TOO LONG HE WAS MISERABLE! MY SUCTION CUPS HELD TOO WELL! I ALMOST HURT MYSELF TRYING TO MOVE IT WITHOUT UNDOING THEM ALL THE WAY. THE BLUE FRONT BAR IS HORRID! IT'S SHARP AND HARD AND IN A VERY BAD PLACE FOR A NAKED BABY. THE UNDER THE KNEE BUMP IS ALSO RIGHT IN HIS BACK AS A SEAT. HE SLIPPED AND SLID SO MUCH IN THE STUPID THING THAT I ALMOST CRIED! DO NOT GET THIS. IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH THE CHEAP PRICE.
Not as good as it seems!Monday, May 02, 2005
I wish I had read the reviews online prior to buying this for our baby! This tub is only good for babies less than three months old, depending on how long you baby is. Once our daughter started getting longer and her feet touched the bar she was always getting hurt. The edge of the blue bar is sharp and if you baby moves his or he feet up and down like mine did I'm sure they will have cuts on their toes. More times than not I would be bathing my daughter and notice pink in the water, sure enough she had a cut from the plastic. After that I tried putting a towel over the bar and tucking it in, that didn't work either. Over all this tub was not what we expected. Once she was big enough to use a bigger "stage" we tried- there are no other stages. She would slip and slide all over that thing and the middle of the bar would always press against her private area! Needless to say it is no longer in use. After that fist bath in the "next stage" we went out to purchase a new tub. My advise- do not purchase this item. I hated it so much I didn't even give it to someone in need- it's residing place is the trash!
Not very goodSaturday, April 30, 2005
I needed a bath seat to keep my baby from standing in the tub and did not like the bath rings because they have been reports about them being unsafe and giving parents a false sense of security. This one seemed to be the safest one out there but I needed a bath pillow to keep it from hurting my baby's back. Also, do you know how babies tend to lift their little legs up when you pull them out of the tub? Well my baby did this and because of the tub's high back,it was impossible to get him out without hurting his legs. In fact after the second time he was scratched(enough to draw some blood), I decided to get a new tub.
What 4 stages?Friday, April 29, 2005
I wish I read these reviews before purchasing this item. First of all I can't figure out what the 4 stages are. Even the box or the pictures on the web site show only the upright or the reclined position. Plus I practically broke the thing trying to get it in any other position than reclined. My son has pretty much screamed through his baths for the last 3 months and it is because of the uncomfortable bump, the slippery no-slip pad, and now that he is 4 months and getting longer, his poor legs are all squished at the bottom and he is bound to hurt them on the blue bar. I am buying a new tub pronto.
Good for babies only!Sunday, April 24, 2005
This tub worked well with a a bath sponge inside of it for the first few months. When my son reached 3 months he could pratically jump out of the tub in the sink. When I used the tub in the upright position in the bath tub my son could not sit up in it because of the plastic bump. I received this as a shower gift, so I am glad I did not waste my money on it! I would recommend buying a different bathing tub.
