5 of 5 stars  I have had both

I bought my Weber 10 years ago. I also bought the Weber gas grill cover. it lasted 9 years in the Colorado extremes. Well, I needed a new one, took Mr. "Buy it at Lowe's advice" for $15. That cheap thing lasted 6 months before cracking and ripping in the the Colorado sun and wind. So, the value of money spent to how long it lasts favors Weber by a 3 to 1 margin. That's not to mention how much better it looks at the trips down to Lowes. I am now going to buy another Weber cover.

5 of 5 stars  Expensive - but worth it!

This is the only grill cover I've ever had that didn't either crack during the winter or blow away on me. It's nice and heavy, covers the entire (weber gold) grill and has two velcro straps that snug it down real tight. Folds up nice too so you can fit it under the grill while you're cooking. We've had it for two years now and it's still going strong.

5 of 5 stars  Overpriced? A little, but quality is outstanding.

What can you say about a piece of plastic. However, this is the KING of plastic pieces and it fits better than OJ's glove. (The lining is nice too.)

If you have shelled out the funds for one of the large Genesis models, it just makes sense to protect the investment. Unless you keep your grill in a garage or storage shed, you have to have it. (Why Weber doesn't include this with the grill is for them to answer; it really is that essential.)

1 of 5 stars  Amazing grills......but WAY over-priced covers...

I took the advice of the review above and bought the Char-Broil 68" (grey) cover from Lowe's for $14.99 It fits my brand new Weber Genesis Gold B like a glove (very snug due to velcro straps on bottom ends). Interior is fully lined which protects the beautiful stainless steel and the exterior is made of heavy vinyl. To pay $55 for a cover simply because it says Weber is foolish. This is a much better option. Spend the money you save on some steaks and wine.

5 of 5 stars  GREAT FIT - STAYS PUT !

I bought this for our new grill in August and have been very happy with it. I debated about purchasing it because of the cost but am very happy that I did. Let's face it after spending over $500.00 for a grill it's best to protect it and this definately serves its purpose. We have had some serious wind/rain and snow storms and the cover has stayed on through each and every one. I like that it vents to prevent moisture build up too - we have not had any problem with that at all. The adjustable straps are great for adjusting just how tight you want to make it but also allow easy removal for use and replacement afterwards. If you want a high quality product this is it !
