A must for me while nursing!Tuesday, April 26, 2005
When I had my first child, I thought a boppy was not needed. When he was a day old, I had someone go pick one up for me! Having 2 levels in the home, we eventually got a second. The boppy really helps me nursing. I got a cover for one of them; so that when I take it out with me (to the dr.'s etc), I can wash the cover when we get home. If you can afford a cover, get one! Otherwise, place a receiving blanket on the boppy to catch spit ups and diaper leaks. :) You can wash the whole boppy, but there is not enough time to wash & dry between feedings (unless you have 2). :) I now have another baby who is using the very same two boppys we have had for several years. :) They're in great shape!
I LOVE THIS PILLOW!Saturday, April 23, 2005
This is a must for any parents with new babies. I use it while a nurse him and it is incredibly helpful, but I also use it when I'm just holding my son sometimes. My husband even uses it for cushion and comfort for our son. It is an amazing pillow to have.
We love our Boppy -- all of them.Thursday, April 07, 2005
We bought our first Boppy seven years ago with our first baby. I didn't breast feed but used it while bottle-feeding. It was nice because it kept the baby off my C-section incision. When our second baby was due our son was still using his as a pillow for resting and watching TV so we bought another one. Loved and used it just as much. Then when baby number three was due my sons were still using theirs so we bought number 3. All three kids will still use them to lay on the floor and watch TV. The oldest one maybe isn't quite as fluffy as the other ones but still is used. Now baby number four is due in 6 weeks and we just bought Boppy number 4. I love all of the great patterns and colors, they are great for boys and girls.
good pillow but not a "Must have"Monday, April 04, 2005
I gave it just 3 stars because:
1. not good for c-sections
2. too hard to wash/dry unless you buy a separate cover
3. didn't use it for very long
I had a c-section and couldn't wear this pillow at first because it sat right on my incision. I ended up using the "my brest friend" nursing pillow for the first two months. Once our daughter got bigger though, I found the boppy held her better and fit in my lap much more comfortably than the "my brest friend" pillow. I ended up using the boppy until my daughter was 6 months (when she was just too big to lay on the pillow and be able to nurse comfortably) and then I stopped using any pillows to nurse and just held baby in my lap.
If you decide to get this pillow, it is worth it to by one of the cotton covers so you can just throw that in the wash, instead of having to wash and dry (all between feedings) the boppy each and every time your baby spits up or has a diaper leak.
Great for feeding time!Saturday, April 02, 2005
I use my Boppy pillow for every feeding. I've tried just using pillows and it's such a pain trying to get them situated with a crying baby in your arms. The Boppy is ready as soon as you sit down. My only complaint is after washing it once it faded considerably in different places. I followed the care instructions to the letter, but it still faded and the cotton filling seperated slightly in the center. However, I still highly recommend it for feeding time.
