A good buySaturday, May 07, 2005
We bought this for our 5-month old infant when she had a Winter cold. It sure beats the alternative of placing a giant pillow under her crib mattress to elevate one end. My baby kept sliding down the mattress until she evened out and became perpendicular to the crib rail. This wedge is a better way to elevate a baby's head. Now that my baby is 8 months old, we had to use the wedge for a Spring cold. She scoots herself off of the wedge while she rolls around her crib before falling asleep, but when she stays on it, she sleeps well. We only use it when she is sick. I have nothing to suggest to make this product better!
Love it!Friday, April 29, 2005
Our baby didn't like sleeping on her back -- until we bought this. Hooray! Finally got some sleep, and I don't think it was mere coincidence. She rested MUCH BETTER the very first night with this.

Helps with refluxTuesday, April 12, 2005
My son was diagnosed with Infant acid reflux, bad enough that he needs medication. He had a lot of trouble sleeping at night, because he was in pain. I did some research on infant reflux, and one thing that was suggested was a crib wedge. So I got this item. It does help a lot. He now sleeps soundly for longer periods of time. He still doesn't sleep through the night yet, but that is because with infant reflux, you are encouraged to feed less more often. But at least I now he wakes up because he is hungry, not because he is still in pain.

IT CAN HELP!Friday, March 11, 2005
I started using this wedge when my son was born. Maybe I didn't position it properly, but I put it on TOP of the mattress at the head of the bed rather than under the mattress. I then put the pad and sheet over both. I also used it with a sleep positioner as I usually put my son down to sleep on his side. He often shifted on his back throughout the night but never on his belly. I am so glad I bought one of these! I truly feel that because of the slight elevation and the positioner, he has never had a problem with spitting up or reflux. I DO feel it has helped his digestion being proped up a little and you can't go wrong using it in conjunction with a humidifier when their nose is stuffy. I feel if a burp is stuck...it's stuck. However, I could see where having the baby elevated with this wedge could help the air to move upward from their belly to help produce a burp. Food stays down....air comes up. I can only imagine how many babies cry all night with reflux because they are laying flat on their back. I would probably have vomit burps too if I slept like that. Of course if there is a medical reason that your baby should sleep flat rather than elevated, this product may not be useful. Always consult with your pediatrition.
Now that my son is 10 months, I only use his positioner one-sided with the crib wedge and will continue to do so until he's out of his crib. He may slide down every now and then, but I believe that could happen with or without the crib wedge. Babies will toss and turn when they get older and will fall asleep in odd positons. I just gently put him back up to the top of the bed and he's fine. I do not share the same opinion as the other negative reviews at all. There may be some babies this does not work for, but I really feel this wedge was a benefit to my son. And it was fairly inexpensive too. I would recommend it to anyone with a baby or toddler.

NOT for babies with GERDFriday, February 18, 2005
What a waste of money! This is not the type of wedge you need if your child suffers from GERD. A three inch wedge will do nothing to alleviate your child's symptoms. Babies with GERD need to sleep at a 30 degree angle; don't waste your money.
