Buy this ironSunday, April 10, 2005
This Panasonic iron replaced a $70.00 Rowenta that proved a great disappointment and I can't recommend it enough. It steams mightily, has a detachable water tank that is easy to fill, and has a retractable power cord. It also has a nice heft to it that makes ironing easy. I noticed that hotels that I stayed in had Panasonic brand irons, and now I can see why.

The iron that changed my life forever!Tuesday, October 19, 2004
Yeah - right!
First of all, this is an iron. Pretty hard to get excited about something like this. What good things can I say... it gets hot and steamy?
This unit replaced our Rowenta and it is much nicer that the Rowenta ever was. It doesn't drip (like the Rowenta always did) it gets really hot and steamy and the controls are straight forward and easy to use. The little features are well designed and manufactered so I get the impression that it should last a really long time. The base is wide and flat and it sits securely on the table. Unlike our old iron that was a bit top heavy. If you bumped the table the iron tipped over quite easily - not so with the Panasonic. Also the retractable cord is great!!
The VERY best feature though is the detachable water tank. Now there is some cleaver thinking. Snap it off, take it to the sink and pour water in it without any concern. Heck - you could fill it by immersion if you wanted to! Once full you just snap it back in and go. QUICK & EASY!!! The Rowenta was much more difficult. You had to hold the iron just so and not fill it too fast or it would build up back preasure and dump water every where.
Pros:
Detachable tank
Large, falt base
Retractable cord
Easy controls
Quality look & feel
Great price
Hot & Steamy
Cons:
None!
