First I boght one of these... used it for one day and checked the collection plates and they had a nasty black film on them that was probably a good 1/16th of an inch thick... cleaned it off... same thing every day... So I bought a second one... I just recieved my THIRD one today as I love these things so much. The quality of air around here must be awful because I have these all in the same room and they are collecting gobs of stuff every day. AWESOME!!!

This worked, although I never saw much at all on the filter, for a few months before it started emitting a high pitched noise. I can't leave it on anymore because the noise is terrible. I don't recommend this.

This unit ran for one month and died.....waiting for response from manufacturer as to options to repair and or replace.

I hardly sneeze anymore, so I know this little sucker is working. It also adds a nice ozonic scent to the air. One day, when the price comes down on the substantial ionizers, I'll get one. But for now, this one fits the bill.

I purchased this Ionizair hoping that it would be an inexpensive alternative to the much more expensive Ionic Breeze series from the Sharper Image. However, after just a week of running it in my room, there was nothing on the filters! I had placed it close to a particularly dusty area with plenty of ventilation on the sides (about 4 feet from the closest wall), but a week of running yielded nothing on the filters. Additionally, I am prone to allergies but my symptoms did not improve. I would not recommend this product. I returned it.
