i got this headphone for music on my ipod and games on PC. i was thinking to get HD280pro but its too expensive, so i went with HD212 bought it from circuit city, used it for a week and i can bet on it that it was not worth pay 63 dollors, any ways i returned that and got this instead, there is no differece between HD 212 and HD 202 in quality, not only that it has awesome bass and trieble, little tight on head but still u are paying only $20 for it.. i would pay more for that if it was expensive. personally it sound quality this headphone is perfect... SENNHEISER the name stand for its own. nice long cord comes with a cord holder so there is no hassle for wire vinding, lolz i highly recommand it. i have been using it since 2 weeks now. great sound on ipod way better then original ipod ear buds and great for game play. Enjoy.
Best Headphones for the MoneyMonday, May 02, 2005
These headphones are high quality for the price. As other reviewers have said, the ear cups are a bit shallow, and compress your ears if they stick out too much. I have worn them a few times now, and have noticed that one of my ears gets compressed by the inside of the headphone cup, but it doesnt really bother me that much. The sound is fantastic. Overall, I would say that the sound quality makes up for any discomfort the ear cups might cause. And the 3 meter cord is a great bonus too!

great headphones...especially for the priceTuesday, April 26, 2005
i wanted to get a set of fairly cheap, closed headphones that i could listen to and leave at work...i listen to all kinds of music and own a set of grado sr60s and the senn hd477s for home and while these two are by no means the top-of-the-line phones, i am accustomed to good sounding headphones but anyway...when i was researching headphones i came across the hd202s and they looked promising but after visiting a few audiophile boards, the consensus seemed to be that these were murky-sounding and bass-heavy. i immediately equated this to the sony v150/300 series phones that i'd owned in the past and wasn't looking to revisit so i stayed away. well, after not being able to find anything else in this price range that appealed to me, i went ahead and bought the 202s and i couldn't be happier. these are a bit on the dark side but that can easily be fixed with a little eq and i found the bass to be nice and deep but never heavy or bloated. fortunately, i have a small head/ears so i find these to be very comfortable but can see where people with bigger heads would find them to be tight...one thing i did do was order a set of hd477 cloth pads from sennheiser and swapped out the pleather ones b/c i find them much more comfortable.

Good design, decent soundSunday, April 24, 2005
First: the good. These headphones are very confortable (to me) and have a convenient-for-home-use 3-meter cord. One of my favorite design elements is the three "braille" dots on the left side, since I often cannot tell which way these phones go.
On the other hand, while I by no means consider myself a serious audiophile, the sound is pretty obviously unbalanced. Playing low notes on my electric piano sounded excellent, but the high treble notes lacked clarity. After ~40 hours of burn-in, the treble started to feel less muffled, but the sound quality is still unbalanced. This is good for rap and other music with a strong beat, but bad for jazz (bass is louder than the other instruments) and other instrumental music.
But if you've never listened to anything beyond the earbuds that came with your CD player, these are be a good buy.

Ok, so I travel a lot for work - I take a 3 hour flight twice a week, so I watch DVDs on my laptop. With my original headphones, I could barely hear what was going on because of all the excess noise on the plane and because of the lousy quality of the speakers. I had to watch all my DVDs with subtitles on (totally annoying). After I read all the reviews I decided to buy these - they're great!! I consider myself to have a normal size head & normal ears, and they aren't snug at all - they're actually comfortable. I can't hear the background noise and the sound is crisp. I listen to CDs on my laptop too, and the first time I heard the music through the speakers I was impressed. Way clear. Anyways, I'm not an audiophile so I'm not sure how $100 headphones sound, but for $20 these are great headphones. I highly recommend!
