I first bought this album back in 1986, it was tucked under "Jimmy Page" at Tower Records, a special "high fidelity" import. The sound quality on that album was better than this CD, but I was just glad I found it. If you like the Yardbirds/early Zeppelin, then this hidden gem is worth it. The Page/Bonham duo is featured on a few songs that really rock, and even the tracks with "unknowns" playing are interesting. I think this is a valuable, overlooked piece of rock history. I wish I knew more about the recording as the "liner notes" are not much help....

I bought this disc ~15 years ago for about $$ an import CD
First, this isn't "various artists" it is "Screaming Lord Sutch & Heavy Friends ? 1970 Cotillion Records"
This may have been a commercial release at one time... Now someone has taken a vinyl copy and put it to CD. Don't get me wrong I love this CD, but if you're going to put it on CD at least get "Tapes" to make masters from... This is full of vinyl artifacts [scratches, clicks & pops]... If this had come from "Tapes" or at least very clean vinyl, I would have given it 5 stars.
I've never found any other "Screaming Lord Sutch" worthy of purchase... As far as I'm concerned this is the one to get, although I'm sure [David Sutch/family/whoever hold the rights] will never see a penny from your purchase of this disc.
