5 of 5 stars  Amazing CD, I wish they hadn't broken up
Wednesday, January 26, 2005
I started listening to BBMak after seeing them perform live on some TV show, and went out and bought INTO YOUR HEAD the next day (after hearing only "Out of My Heart (Into Your Head)"). I still listen to it all the time, and I wish they were still around to make more CDs like INTO YOUR HEAD.

Highlights of INTO YOUR HEAD are:
*Out of My Heart (Into Your Head) - This is a catchy, fun, summery song with fun lyrics. This is the song that made me want to buy the CD. It isn't the best on the disk, but it's right up there.
*After All is Said and Done - From the opening, you know this is going to be a more serious song, and it is. It's about royally messing up a relationship (some of the lyrics are: "Thought that you were workin' late, but that was when I made my first mistake, when you walked into the hall and found the clothes upon the floor it was too late..."). It gets trashed a lot for being more serious, but I love it.
*Out of Reach - Out of Reach is the "typical" unrequited love song, except this stands out from other songs with the same topic. It's simple, but it's great.
*Run Away - My favorite song on INTO YOUR HEAD. It's sweet, with beautiful lyrics, vocals, and an awesome guitar part.

All 10 tracks on INTO YOUR HEAD are great, and I think its a shame that BBMak didn't get that much recognition. They weren't your typical "boy band," and I recommend the CD to fans of Ryan Cabrera and Jump5.

Overall grade - A+

4 of 5 stars  Wonderful, but not long enough!
Sunday, October 10, 2004
BBmak has to be the best thing that came out of ireland since leprechauns! Though they've been stereotypically labeled as a "boy band," they break away from their contenders in this category by doing all the writing, playing, and harmonizing themselves, and it produces some great music. After an excellent debut full of sunny melodies and radio-ready lyrics, this group's second effort has a bit of a rock edge, which basically means heavier guitars and more mature lyrics. This does not, however, mean that the contageousness from their last CD is absent here. The only criticism I can make is that ten tracks isn't nearly long enough for a full-length album! But what almost makes up for this shortcoming is that every song on the disc is worthy of hitting the repeat button-well-repeatedly! Some of my favorite tracks are the care-free first single, Into Your head, Staring Into Space, which has an awesome stomp-along beat, the dark, orchestral Sympathy, and the inspirational I Still Believe. So the reason this CD got a 4-star rating from me is not because it lacks in charm or quality, it just falls short in quantity.

4 of 5 stars  Wheres the rest ?!

The biggest fault in this albulm is there are only 10 songs ! Even britney has 11 or 12 on hers. I wanted more ! I bought this 3 days ago because I was listening to BBMak a few days before and really liked a few songs from them like Back Here, Miss you more, Out of my heart. I was sad to hear they had broken up, I really did like them. So i saw it n bought it. my first listen i was really dissappointed.. no songs like out of my heart or back here but after my 2nd run i felt better.

highlights:
1. out of my heart - one of my fav songs of all time .. enough said on that one
2. staring into space - wonderful song.. i really like the refrains .. just makes you wanna bounce .. does sound like a throw back to the old 60's music

a few other songs stand out .. the latter songs on the alulmb arent really upbeat .. i was in an upbeat mood after listening to the first half .. so in all n all not bad.. just a few more songs, esp some upbeat ones would've been great.. but sad they broke up.

5 of 5 stars  BBMac's More Rock Side
Sunday, June 20, 2004
"Into Your Head" is the follow-up album from "Sooner Or Later" by BBMac. Unfortunately, this is the most shamefully overlooked album of 2002 in sales and the Grammys. Admittingly, their previous album didn't sound like they meant their words; rather, they were written by someone else. Therefore, the sound became somewhat sour within time. However, "Into Your Head" feels more real. They seem more into the music than before. Listeners can easily notice the high evolution as musicians. They prove that they've grown out of the "boy band" generation, though they never really were one.

The songs are wonderfully written, produced, and arranged by BBMac. This album explores the more rock side versus before by turning up the volume of the guitars, which they also play. Every track is equally as catchy as the one before and after it, starting with their hit single "Out of My Heart". Their performances are wonderful in every way. The amazing harmonies within the trio give these songs added listening enjoyment. Such quality keeps their sound fresh today.

"Into Your Head" is a great quality rock album that will surely please audiences for a long time. They prove with every song that they will continue releasing great music for a while. If they continue their musical evolution with their next album as they already have, it'll be exciting to hear how it sounds.
