3 of 5 stars  Brief, non-definitive...but all great music!!!
Saturday, November 29, 2003
My opinion of this collection falls somewhere inbetween the positive and negative reviews. I had already owned the 1990 Greatest Hits CD for years, but decided to buy this because:

A)it contains more non-hit album tracks than the proper GH collection.

B)I have not heard any of the original albums in their entirety, but didn't feel like shelling out the $ for all of them. I thought this would be a good supplement.

C) It was cheap.

Considering my reasoning, I can't say I was dissapointed. Yes, the 1990 GH is more definitive, but it doesn't tell the whole story. This Super Hits CD expanded my Bangles horizon.

2 of 5 stars  Another pathetic entry in the godawful Super Hits series
Sunday, August 31, 2003
You may have been to your local music store lately, and noticed several compilations under the name "Super Hits." What are these compilations, you ask?

Budget-priced compilations, WITHOUT the budget price.

Each CD in this series has TEN tracks, no more, no less (meaning they don't even come close to filling the eighty minutes you can fit onto a single CD.) And, of course, they omit many key tracks (This entry in the series is missing one of the band's biggest hits, their cover of Simon And Garfunkel's Hazy Shade Of Winter!) This series is obviously a ploy by the record industry to rake in cash, by making compilations that look better than they really are.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST BANGLES HITS COMPILATION OUT THERE! Get their domestic CD entitled "Greatest Hits", or buy an import. BUT DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS!

4 of 5 stars  Nice collection for one of My favorities Pop/Rock group

I disagree with the preview opinions which said it is not a good CD. I have bought this CD and I think it is a good 'Bangles' collection. This CD contains all the four (4) Bangles greatest hits: "Eternal Flame" (the best all-time ballad), "Walk like an Egiptian", "Manic Monday" and "If She Knew What She Wants". All great songs !. The other songs: "James", "September Gurls", "Hero Takes A Fall" etc ... will not disappoint you (I also like they very much, they are really good music except "Live"). I think it is worth while to buy this CD. :)

1 of 5 stars  Avoid this!

If you're going to buy a greatest hits package by The Bangles, buy their 1990 release "Greatest Hits". This release is nothing but a cash grab for their record company and it doesn't even feature all of their hits. Avoid this!
