I purchased this stand for my Toshiba 52hm84 52" DLP TV after looking at it in a local retail store. I was trying to decide between building some custom cabinetry for the family room or just going with this stand. The stand has a nice, comtemporary look to it, and it is designed to blend well with the TV set. It is not the most solid stand I have seen, but because the TV only weighs 83 pounds, it should not be a problem. I needed the stand to be somewhat portable, so I added four sets of casters to the bottom of it. The casters make it easy to swivel the entire set when I want to watch it, and then push it back toward the wall to keep it out of the way.

Setting it up took about an hour. The instructions were fairly easy, although they fail to mention several items that need to be completed. The stand provides two shelves, or enough room for a couple of components. On the down side, the stand does not have a back to it, so I can see all of the loose cables behind the components.

It's obvious that someone is making a lot of profit on this product, as the value of the parts look to be less than $50.00. However, if you want a stand that provides a custom look for the Toshiba TV set, this is the only way to go.
