I can think of few pleasures in life that I enjoy more than the H&D Royal Cherry Chocolates. We used to get these at the outlet stores when we lived in Oregon. Many a time I have popped one of these in my mouth and believed that if my life ended at that moment, it would be at a high point of happiness.
A very highly recommended reward for anyone interested.

At work this past Christmas, we received a tower of Harry & David's from a customer. This tower included these delicious royal cherry chocolates. These are now one of my favorites! It was very unique. I, along with everyone else in my office, thought there was just the right amount of cherry & chocolate. Very, very good. If you like cherries and chocolate, you won't be dissapointed.

Being a big fan of chocolate and cherries, I decided to give these royal cherry chocolates a try.

I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed. I expected the cherries to be lightly covered in chocolate and the pastel candy so that you would get a symphony of flavors.

Unfortunately, the cherries are heavily coated in chocolate, and as a result you mostly taste the chocolate. Moreover, the chocolate they use to coat the cherries is of very low grade, with way too much sugar added, similar to Hershey's chocolate.

Finally, the red pastel coating is artificially flavored, and it overpowers the delicate sweet/sour flavor from the actual cherry.

In summary, it is not terrible candy but certainly not worth the premium price Harry and David charge for it.

These are simply phenomenal! They remind me of the holidays at home with family, because my Mom always knew where to find them. Finally, they're available on the web.
These are the perfect combination of rich chocolate with a slightly tart cherry inside. They're not too sweet, not too tart -- they're perfect. It's impossible to eat just one...
