Product Description
French Roast is not for the timid. The hardiest of Latin American coffees withstand Starbucks darkest roast - an intensity which would burn less rugged beans. Blunt, smoky flavors are the objective of the roasting process and there's only a slight, residual acidity. Although it's a powerful blend, the body is light.Taste French Roast beside Espresso Roast. You may discover and uncover many tastes in the Espresso and the Italian you did not realize were there when tasting them alone. French Roast is about pleasing the palates of those who enjoy the deepest, darkest, smokiest flavor. People often assume that darker means fuller body. Not true! People also assume that French Roast has either more or less caffeine due to its roast, which is also untrue. French Roast is great for dark roast die-hards, someone looking for a change, or as an interesting component to a do-it-yourself blend. We have paired this coffee with a box of authentic almond biscotti imported from Italy. The classic after-dinner biscotti, these Cantuccinis from Tuscany are well known for their elongated oval shape and utter crispiness. They are best dipped in Vin Santo or other sweet dessert wines, and of course, in coffee, cappuccino or milk. Try these crisp traditional cookies with ice cream too. Made by Corsini, the most respected pastry company in Tuscany since 1921. Coffee: 1 lb. bag. Biscotti: 8.8 ounce box.
