The Best..well in my bias opinion!Thursday, November 20, 2003
Bryan Adams is my #1 fave singer and I love all of his songs equally. So in my bias opinion, all of his songs are the best. However, propably only die hard fans should get this album. I have it on both CD and LP and I love it.

Debut From A 20-year-old Rockstar-to-beFriday, September 26, 2003
It is unmistakably Bryan even when you listen to this with title and artist name undisclosed. Before the debut in 1979 he had been a songwriter so the album as a whole sounds as if Bryan were impersonating someone else's singing styles. Win Some And Lose Some and State of Mind are Rod Stewart styled tracks. With a little more luck, Give Me Your Love and Don't Ya Say It might have been used for major artists such as Bee Gees or Earth Wind and Fire. Wasting Time and Remember are surely close to some of Reckless tracks. While he shows his brilliant songwriting skill in this one, the vocal arrangement doesn't go well with instrumental parts. By the time "Cuts Like A Knife" had been released, however, he seemed to have acquired the technique to conquer such incompatibility. Such minor faults apart, you can really enjoy this upbeat album.
Essential for Bryan Adams fans and debut album collectors.

Had to resort to the internet to buy this...Friday, February 21, 2003
I have been a BA fan since 'Waking Up The Neighbors'. But I only owned the album, 'So Far, So Good'. I have since been on a crusade to buy every single BA album. This one eluded me, until I finally decided to buy it on the web (had the usual first time buyer fears, etc...). But it was a reasonable price. I like this album. Very 80's sounding (a lot of keyboards to my ear & plenty of guitar), but you can hear the direction that Bryan will take later. It's a good first album and sets up his 2nd album, 'Fits Ya Good'. I'm happy to say that I now have all of BA's albums, and I love everyone one. My only complaint with this CD was that the lyrics were not enclosed and I had to get them off BA's web site so that I could learn the songs that much faster. Good buy if your a BA fan.
Young Rocky AdamsSaturday, February 15, 2003
For real Bryan Adams Fans, this album is a must-have. You can hear the raw and simple songs from his early years, as a starting point from which his later music has been developping. Altough it is much different from his current smooth songs, you can hear the young Bryan and still recognize the style he developped throughout his career. This album is worthwile buying. Especially the first song (Hidin' from love) is as good as his later "straight from the heart", but it swings like "summer of 69". Rocky sweet...

Loved it in 1986 and still love it.Monday, March 19, 2001
I bought this album at a used record store in 1986 on vinyl. It was very different from RECKLESS. But being a true fan, I listened to it with an open mind. The songs reflect a more dance genre and his voice not too raspy, but it was only a matter of time for this young rocker to break free from the commercial side of the business of 1979 and into his own masculine style. He's a great songwritter and this album completes my collection.
