Product Description
Founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot is headquartered in the center of Beaune, France. This well respected wine company produces AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) wines from Burgundy, namely Chablis, Côte d'Or, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais and Beaujolais. Louis Jadot approached igourmet to jointly create a ""Wine & Cheese Pairing Wheel"" - recommending pairings of six of their wines with our cheeses. This assortment comes with five of those cheeses and the Pairing Wheel.- Grana Padano - From Italy, this cheese is not exclusively for grating. Serve bite-sized pieces with robust red wines.
- Buche Chevre - A classic French goat cheese, our Buche (log) is slightly aged, giving the cheese a lot of character. Perfect for an acidic Chardonnay.
- Asiago d'Allevo - Another Italian, this raw-milk favorite from Northern Italy is an all-around performer, pairing well with medium-bodied whites and reds.
- Manchego Reserva - Aged for 12 months, this 100% sheep's milk cheese from the La Mancha region of Spain pairs perfectly with a fruity Beaujolais.
- Extra Aged Gouda - Don't confuse this world-class Dutch masterpiece with typical supermarket Gouda. Aged for 18 months, it is complex, sweet and packed with flavor. We found it to be the perfect mate for a well-balanced Pinor Noir.
This assortment ships with five 1/2 pound cuts, plus the wine-and-cheese pairing wheel.
