Halleluja, this CD has finally been rereleased by Cuneiform. This toothsome collection of compositions makes for some great listening - I had a gut reaction the first time I heard it and had new gut reactions in different places on repeated listenings. If you enjoy being lost in music, appreciate instrumental pieces, and love a good aural kick in the pants, this is the CD for you. Anything you need to know about the artists you can read on the liner notes. Just buy this CD! It will be a beloved black sheep in most folks' collections, a fine culmination of points touched upon in other folks' collections.

If I had to peg the style of these fellas, I'd sum it up in one phrase: Knitting Factory. The basic hooks of the songs are an amalgamation of jazz, rock, and marching music, but the 'solos' (for lack of a pithier word) are avante without the usual ponderous snore-fest - they end when they should and not a moment later. The musicianship is solid and peppered with humor, originality, and a bit of joy.
